A 2011 graduate of Virginia Tech, Dr. MacKay is an experienced companion animal veterinarian with over 25 years in the field and a Master's Degree in Conservation Medicine, focusing on African wildlife.

Dr. MacKay graduated from Virginia Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine (Virginia Tech) in 2011 and has gained valuable experience practicing all along the East Coast. She also holds a Master’s Degree in Conservation Medicine, focusing on elephant and rhino conservation in sub-Saharan Africa. This has allowed her to be a part of some interesting African conservation efforts. Dr. MacKay has been in the companion animal field for over 25 years. Dr. MacKay settled in Connecticut in 2015 where she lives with her husband and their many furry “children”.
